Thunder rolls on tonight
All day it has rained
Pitter pat pitter pat…
The animals on the streets had hidden all day in the alleys
Boom! Boom!
Cars flew down the wet streets
Children running fast to go home
Pools closed
Doors slammed shut
Thundered roared hard and harder
A girl sits inside reading…
Whisp goes the pages
A boy sits inside getting ready for work
Shuffling through the house
Dancing in the dark lies a mouse
In the house
He grabs small bits of food and scurries into a hole
Thunder rolls on tonight
Awakening the cruel
Silencing what should have happened.
